I never got a letter or see it listed as a recall for mine yet. 2019 SCAB. Are they just slow to issue? Or was this fixed in 2019?

Sadly, I know exactly what this about: My wife opened the garage door to a sickening noise. Turns out the tailgate self deployed and was leaning into the metal garage door when she opened it. This resulted in serious little nicks in the paint (about 4 of them) caused by the garage door going up while the tailgate leaned against it. Off to the dealer I go (and it was so much to be there for the cam phaser recall, so I'm going to have them look at refastening the fender flares that were apparently removed when they did the Cam Phaser recall work).

Same thing happened to mine last week. Super pist and we were trying to figure out what happened and how it opened. I didn't get a recall yet my truck is a 2018.

That weird, I was driving the other day and a guy pulled up next to me and was pointing at my truck. I stopped and went to check it out and my tailgate was down. Maybe this solves the mystery

Went into the dealer today for warranty work and they recommended I have this completed. I've never had any issues with my truck ever. Might skip it.
