What gets wired to the distribution box with the blue wires in your setup?

The power wire from the accessory (light, lighted whip, compressor, etc). You could do without and wire incoming straight to the blue wire off of the relay, however I wanted to install it this way so that it's easy to add on items as I acquire more accessories.

Installed another switch panel and all the wiring. It's a bit time consuming, but not a hard project.

Why so many wires up to the switches?

Each switch contains an LED light and is a three prong switch. With 6 total switches, you need six power, six ground and then the six accessory wires. I run one power and one ground up the A pillar due to physical size constraints and then split the power and ground wires off six times. If you ran fewer switches, obviously less wiring. My switch panel was designed for six switches though.

You can't daisy chain the grounds and hots across the switches? Then you'd only have two wires going up with six coming back.

I think we are saying the same thing. I've got a total of 8 wires that run from the top to the fuse block behind my glovebox. The power and ground are split amongst all the switches right there by the overhead sunglasses holder.
