Speaking of parking garages. I still find myself ducking, bobbing & weaving everytime I drive through one of them. My friggin neck is so sore that I can't sleep worth a crap for at least 24 hours. Can't they make them taller & wider? ARRR!

For those of us that don't live in large metro areas I've found the 13" Antenna X at antennax.com to be a good compromise. I live in Alabama. I have not noticed a drop in reception since using the $15 antenna x replacement.

As a bonus you can kinda bend it permanently backward which gives the appearance of high speed.

Just ordered a Stubby. I'll keep my factory antenna behind the rear back seat for the occasional trip to the boondocks or parking garages - since I'll soon be on mid perch with 37's.

Mine stays bent when it's warm, but then gets hard and straight when it gets cold. I like to think it's because my truck likes to play in the snow.

Are you able to tune these aftermarket antennas so they dont eventually damage the radio?
