Hey randy,

Do you transport into Canada or just stick to the US ?

I have taken trucks to the boarder, but the hassle to get a vehicle across
is not something I would look forward too.

When I drove over the road, I went into Canada. But the Company took care of all permits, paperwork and duties. I just made sure my weight was legal.

Randy made the trip unscathed and I have my Raptor. Any of you folks considering a Raptor, I highly, HIGHLY recommend that you talk to Randy. If you want a no hassle, no hustle, first-class buying experience from a stand-up kind-of guy, he is it! Couldn't be more pleased. Thanks brother.

Uh, what? no pics of you and randy standing in front of the newly arrived truck just off the trailer?

Damn, I dropprd the ball on that, my bad. I had the neighbors driveway block with the F450 tow vehicle, and they showed up within 2-3 min's, of course.......... we had the truck unchained and on thr ground in less than 5 min.

Going good so far, but it's so freakin' big!

I was driving an Infiniti FX, which I thought was a pretty wide vehicle, not. I have some adjustments to make. Raptor is too tall to go in my normal underground parking garage at work (6'6" limit), so I have to switch to another parking garage (7' limit). I can get it in the 3rd car slot in my single door home garage (I have to back in because otherwise my driver's door would be against the wall), but it's like parking a lunar module on the tip of flag pole.... 2-3 inches clearance at most on all four sides with mirrors folded. Getting better, but I don't know if this will work long term. I'm bound to forget to fold the mirrors and take one out or scrape a flare on the door rails. I may have to park in the middle slot, but that puts my wife's rather large minivan in front of the door from the garage to the house, making it tough to get people and stuff through there. Can't make her back into the 3rd car spot. She only has an inch clearance to mirrors on the van. I could park it in the driveway, but I live in Northeast Oklahoma, twister alley, and we get hail and wind and rain and everything else all spring, blazing 100+ heat in the summer and more than two feet of snow on the first day of February this year. So, garage it is! By the time I get this figured out, my driving skills will be greatly improved. Hard to believe in Oklahoma, where 2 in 3 people drive a pickup truck that they are still making garages this short and doors this narrow. This is a 3 car garage for godsakes, and I only have two cars and a bunch of bikes!

Good news is that my buddy is already begging me to take it to the sand dunes, so I can use it for what was intended. And, I can't wait to put the Birdman treatment to it tomorrow. Tint goes on this afternoon.

I know exactly what you mean! My Raptor turned my two-car garage into a one-truck garage. Even then I have to park it diagonally for the rear bumper to clear the garage door. If the garage was only maybe 4 inches longer I'd have no problems at all parking straight and clearing the door. I noticed that on must newer houses around here...even 3-car garages are crap as far as overall length and width. Most of my friends with older homes would have no problem at all fitting the Raptor in their garage...and some have even offered to take care of it for me since my garage can barely handle it. lol.

BTW, I immediately swapped the stupid factory whip antenna. The Raptor is already tall and then they make the antenna 4" or so taller than the cab. Seriously? Thought it was gonna bend in half driving in/out of the garage the first time with it hitting the garage door. The Cravenspeed stubby antenna is great though. Haven't noticed an reception issues with getting Tulsa stations in Bartlesville. Plus, I listen to Sirius-XM and Pandora most of the time anyway now.

All that said. Driving this truck is awesome. It is big, but it handles great for its size. Just have to pay attention.

I'm also wanting to head to Little Sahara at some point. Just wanna wait until the 1k break in is over first before beating on the truck too much.

Ordering the stubby and an F1 are on my list for this weekend. I may also pull the trigger on some Fuel Octane wheels. I would love to go with a zero or negative offset, but will have to settle for 14mm to squeeze it in the damn garage. Maybe I need to have someone come and quote turning two of my single doors into a double??? I would have had the same length problem with the SCREW. That's why I went with SCAB, which is really more suited for my use anyway. I will also wait until after break-in to go offroad.

That would be some serious construction. I new header would have to be installed and beef up the studs a little more to carry the extra weight. I think you just need to build a garage that will house just the Raptor.

BTW - where are the pictures?
