Cracked start button

Does anybody make a colored button? Red or Blue?

Looks like they need to make them out of metal. I sure hope this is just a bad batch. In this day and age a simple start/stop bottom is cracking, just sad. Hope they take care of everyone.

Mine was replaced under warranty. Service writer acted like it was a real safety issue. LOL. However, I did not tell him that I was indeed using a hammer to start it.

Funny you say that. When I saw the first report nearly a year ago, I thought the same thing and made a mental note to be extra careful. But, here I am.

My wife's Expedition start button is cracked; my Raptor's is not. This is not a coincidence...

Noticed today mine was cracked and found this thread. Wondering if it really is just a cosmetic issue or if it can affect function.

Not convinced putting a sticker over a cracked button would be helpful.
