wait until engine compartment is dry & mostly “clean” then Douse em w/ this stuff- Yamashield, then wipe down w/ microfiber cloth & let it set. Give it 30-40 mins then give another lighter coat & do not wipe off, let set 60 mins put on a 3rd coat be good to go

This stuff is formulated for Yamaha marine engines & I use it on my waverunners & safe to use everywhere but creates a chemical bond w/ bare aluminum (esp cast aluminum) & penetrates into the metal helping prevent future corrosion, can touch up once in a while as needed- this stuff is less “hardcore” & permanent than Amsoil HDMP, but goes on clear, smells way better/less nasty, & is particularly good for bare aluminum
