Do not try to revive a li-ion pack you will most likely start a fire that will be very hard to extinguish. Dyson batteries seem to fairly inexpensive just pick up a new pack for it. Your other option is to dissect it and grab replacement cells and put it back together but at $50 it just buy a new one.

I bought a18v Dewalt cordless vac a few months back. Can't let myself get into the Lithium craze just yet. The 18v works fine for quick cleaning but don't expect the suction of a corded vac.

Recently got a Dyson DC34. So far so good, use it mostly for spot cleaning dog fur and saw dust. Have used it to do some truck cleaning too. I think a charge lasts for ~12 min of vacuuming but that's ok with me because it wasn't meant to replace the real vacuum cleaner, rather just small messes when I don't want to haul out the central vac.

GF's Dyson lasts ~12 seconds, that's why I started this thread. If it's on QVC, she has one in her house.

Boy I wish I could block that channel.

GF's Dyson lasts ~12 seconds,

I was going to buy a Dyson, but so many negative reviews on such a short lived battery for the $'s.

Another option is a small generator, which is multi-purpose. Honda and Yamaha make 1000 watt units that are very quiet and put out a pure sine wave so electronics (e.g. TV) can run on them. I got one to use on my airplane which is parked about 500 ft from an electrical outlet.

Also useful for hurricanes, power outages, camping, etc.

It's the girlfriends dyson piece of crap from QVC. Probably cost three arms and 4 legs new but I'd give ya $10 to assume owner ship of it tomorrow. It's useless as **** on a boar hog IMO.

"It's useless as **** on a boar hog IMO". My grandpa used to say that all the time but have never heard anyone else say it. Brings back happy memories. Thanks. :)
