First off Helllo from South Korea, Stateside bound after a 2 year tour here....
Anyhow i am on the factory waiting list for the 2012 and like most i am looking at upgrades now. I want to put the ProCharger super charger on. My concerns are what exactly is in the 6.2.. Yea go ahead and laugh but i looked up ford.com and did not get the awnser i was loooking for...Anyhow i am going to post here from another site that said

It has two valves and two spark plugs per cylinder, a cast-iron engine block and aluminum cylinder heads. It also features a cast-iron crankshaft, forged steel connecting rods and cast-aluminum pistons. "Powered by Ford" is proudly embossed on the valve covers.

from http://news.pickuptrucks.com/2010/04/first-drive-review-2010-6-2-liter-v-8-ford-f150-svt-raptor.html

Can someone pleez confirm if there is any truth to this... Reason is simple I want forged instead of powder coated anything before i put the supercharger in... I did see some other company upgrades like Hennessy but reasons would be they charge out the ass, (also have seen with my pop's , with our own eyes, some stuff come out of there not looki'n worth the money spent) BTW just 2 cents.... Also for sh*ts and giggles, there super charger looks like the exact one form procharger with a Hennessey sticker on the side, I'm just say'n...

Anyhow, if anyone here has some input as to where i might find a good setup that will put me at 600+HP, i would be thankful....Also I will be in the GA - NC area so i may need a good shop to put the kit in unless ProCharger requires u to take it to Kansas....

That is all correct. The Hennessey kit is indeed a Procharger. There are several folks running Pro-Chargers with stock internals. Livernois is a vendor on this forum and would be able to hook you up with anything you would need from heads to stroker kits, etc.

Welcome to the forum!

And thanks for your service!

There's at least one thread here filled with anti-Hennessey sentiment (and links to hundreds of others' similar feelings) so you're definitely not alone in your thoughts about them.

I like your style - supercharging a brand new 6.2

Keep us posted on your plans and your countdown to returning home.

Thanks for the support.....

First off i am in the Army and have served for over 11 years with 2 tours...All good there..Thanks for all your support as well...

Glad it has Forged and not powder coated rods.... I was not bashing Hennessey cuz i have seen decent stuff come out of there but also not...Anyhow I am a working class(Priced a little high for me) and have been saving for this for a while and i want it to be on point...

I hope i don't start a huge thread here but the bottom line is I have 10K extra to upgrade and there are 2 things i want. A Supercharger and an awesome exhaust set up... All must include labor.:shakehead:...Any help would be awesome...

2012 supercrew full setup that will be one of the first 10 being built in June and will P/U in NLT AUG:chicken:...So i have a little time to find the perfect setup and get it into my hands before delivery...

Couple ?'s For you owners now, How do you feel about the moon roof? Worth the 875?

What about straight pipes? Never seen them put on this truck..Just wondering.....

One last one...I want that AUX switch loud exhaust setup that Hennessey has on the 475 video on you tube...I am sure others should have it but i need to find out the name of it to ask....Awesome video BTW.... Thanks again guys and looking forward to your reply's...

Ummmm The 6.2s have a cast crank and cast pistons with POWDER forged rods. Hennessey is a joke and overcharges for horrible work and mediocre tune. Moonroof is a personal preference. I don't like them. Straights pipes are horrible idea. 1 you won't pass inspection in NC, 2 the loss of that much exhaust back pressure will cause you to loose performance. The aux switch is opening an exhaust cut-out. Ouicktime Pro is a popular one and Stainless Works who also sells a full exhaust for these truck has cut-outs as well. There are several shops that can install the blower. Troyer Performance is your best bet. He is in South Western VA, Pro-Dyno in Fort Mill, SC and also Fastlane Motorsports in South Eastern NC.

Hmmm..powder coated forged rods, so forged is still forged and i should be good to go ahead and put the S/C on with stock guts... Thanks for the exhaust info....I might want to put it out in front of the back tire with a single big pipe look than out the back....I will look into those shops u talked about....SO to confirm, good idea to order kit from ProCharger and then take to one of these shops to have installed and go with one of there exhaust setups?....

Powder forged is not the same as forged. The Procharger kit will not blow up your motor so long as you don't change pulleys or the head unit. Let the shop order it. I believe all the shops I listed are Procharger dealers. I have moved my exhaust in front of the right rear tire. There are tons of pics and a video on here of it.

The last i looked, and it's been a bit, the only real system for the 6.2's is the procharger, but i think it'll get you what you want. as for the roof, i got it but that's a very personnel choice. i've had it in my last 4/5 vehicles. with that said, i love it and i pretty much use it everyday.

Moonroof is a personal preference. I like mine and I never regret getting it. It's dark inside the all-black interior so it helps let a lot of light in even if you don't open the glass roof.

As for using one of the Upfitter switches to run your exhaust bypass that shouldn't be a problem at all. Get a shop to install the bypass and then go to this thread:

http://www.svtoffroad.com/showthrea...Explained-(Video)&highlight=upfitter+switches

for instructions on how to connect the wire for the bypass you should have them run into the shifter area of your center console. It's easy and you'll then know how to connect lights to your Upfitter switches too.
