Well I've bounced from quite a few "next vehicles", from being dead set on a 2010 Camaro 2SS/RS, then seeing the 2011 Mustang GT 5.0, then getting hooked on a 2010 Shelby GT500, I've gone full circle and ended up right back to a TRUCK. Need to condense vehicles, and I need a truck for home depot trips, a truck to tow with, cab space for an eventual family, and something I can drive year round, and through crappy back roads on base without worrying about bending a rim, getting stuck in snow, or muddy.

Whats the perfect vehicle for all that? A 2012 SVT Raptor Supercrew. I'll be selling my second 2000 HD truck late this fall to put towards the Raptor through Randy. We bought my fiance's 2011 Mustang GT 5.0 through Randy last year and he was awesome to deal with.

Some of you from the Lightning/Harley Truck world know me as Harley#356. With somewhere between 40-50,000 posts on the HD and L forums, I figured it was about time for a new screen name for these trucks since they're about as polar opposite as you can get for a truck within the Ford scene.

I was really hoping they'd offer the 3.5 ecoboost in the 2012's but seems like that's not going to happen. I drove one at the ford challenge and was blown away by it. The 6.2 is nice, but I've been spoiled with all these blown 5.4's, but I won't have much choice lol.

I'll put some pics up of my other baby later....my first 2000 HD truck, worlds fastest street HD truck, 10.32 @ 131 in the 1/4 mile :waytogo:

I googled this and came up with a 'tube vid, pretty amazing!

Hey Josh, WELCOME
GLAD YOU MADE IT OVER HERE!!

Hey everybody, this is one class guy that knows his shit!! He has some Killer Harley Trucks, and the smarts to go with them. A Racin Fool...........

Randy

Thanks for the warm welcome Randy! :waytogo: Really looking forward to getting the Raptor. I was really surprised at all the little attention to detail my '04 Lightning had that I had for a couple short months before flipping it, so looking forward to joining the SVT crowd full time, and not just having the bastard step child HD truck lol. It'll be nice driving something so badazz that I dont' have to worry about a little dirt or a pothole or scraping the bumper on a curb lol

lol, nice user name and avy. Rugrats on Nickelodeon.

haha yeah that was my fiance's idea. I wanted to keep the theme with Jekyll & Hyde going, but couldn't really find a fitting one for the Raptor. Jekyll is my street HD, Hyde is my race HD (the evil twin), Poole is a fitting name for my trailer (Jekyll/Hydes assistant in the story), and Hastie was another character which was a fitting name for the 5.0! Think that books pretty much tapped out though, and rugrats was a cool cartoon back in the day  So REPTAR it is! lol

Welcome... If your really sweating it not being blown, you could always get the whipple when it comes out.

I'm not the biggest fan of going s/c aftermarket. There's something that just can't be beat about the attention to detail of an OEM s/ced vehicle. On my race truck I did the full OEM swap, computer, harnesses, the works. It's a breeze to get tuned. On my street truck I did the top end s/c swap from the L and with the N/A computer tuning has always been on the tricky side. Doable, but not quite as easy, little workarounds here and there that had to be done for the setup. For a DD I want it as OEM as possible, the race truck is for playing and wrenching. The 6.2 just doesn't impress me power wise for what my expectations would be. Granted they're high, and the 6.2 isn't a slouch, but for the same mileage as the s/c 5.4 roughly, the power just isn't enough for me to overcome the added weight. But hey thats what the race trucks for. The 6.2 will be plenty for a DD, I just really wish they would drop the 3.5 EB in for 2012. WHen I test drove a platinum screw 3.5 EB and towed 6500 lbs it felt great, and racing it in the 1/8th against the 6.2, the 6.2 felt better out of the hole but by 60' out the 3.5 was pulling harder. So for such close performance measures, the 3.5 being cheaper and better mileage, I really wish they would have offered it in the Raptor. My luck they will for 2013 and i'll have to trade after 1 year lol

I googled this and came up with a 'tube vid, pretty amazing!

My 10.32 pass? I'll have to link it up along with some pics for others to see. If you go to the record holders link at the bottom of Kenne Bell's website, my truck is listed up on there. They didn't update for my 2010 time though, still has my 10.48 info from 2009.

Thanks Randy! Those are from when I first got Jekyll, it was still bone stock and barely 1,000 miles on the clock in those pics! That didn't last long LOL! I still have to email you back about trade in information.

Pro-Hawk/SVTRay, I thought you were nuts at first for selling your HD for a Raptor, but they've grown on me big time recently!

It's official!!!!

Well it's official....I took the supercharged top end off my street truck (Jekyll) on Saturday and put it back to Naturally Aspirated. No turning back now! The de-modding has begun!

Hope to finish demodding over the next couple weeks (full exhaust, 22's, bedrug, grille, lights, etc.) and put it up for sale Mid-Sept to sell by Mid-Oct, and hopefully only be truckless till a Raptor arrives Mid-Nov???

Just emailed Randy with what options I'd like to put in an order for me next Monday when the order banks open.

Couple pics attached....

Pic #1 - Last shot of the top end s/c setup installed!
Pic #2 - My babys been neutered! 220 rwhp of fury! lol
Pic #3 - Glass Half Empty: There lies an additional 150 rwhp on my garage floor!
Pic #3 - Glass Half Full: There lies $2,500 towards my 2012 Raptor down payment!

The WAIT is JUST STARTING.........................:ROFLJest:

The order process only takes a few min's. Then 10-13 weeks

I should know shortly, if I can place a "Fleet" order on the 2012 Raptor.
