I think it's like a bouncy house. Hail will damage hard surfaces that don't give. I would bet it just bounces off that thing.

Likely similar. I can push my hand into it, but I can't even push hard enough to feel the hood or roof. If hail damages the truck with this thing on, we have bigger problems.

Of course we have had storms with hail that punch through the windows and walls of the house, so if we get there, the truck is the least of my concerns.

I’m kinda worried for all the runners and walkers now. Looks like hail that size could take you out or send you to the ED.

after paperwork but before moving, our local agent sent pics of baseball sized hail that rolled through in TX. I think they just got the outside car fixed from that storm recently.

I’ve seen some pretty good T-storms in TX, starting the day I moved in. Still, ‘tweren’t no derecho ;-)

Check out this she-it! But I still wouldn't put a big Maxi Pad in the drive to cover my truck

Lived in NM a few years back. They get some pretty good hail there too.
Was practicing my Starbucks drive through skills in my LR4 (full glass roof) when it started hailing ping pong ball size hail. It sounded like the apocalypse has just started but somehow no dents and no broken glass.
Happened a couple other times on the highway as well.

@ganooch, just got hit buddy. It came hard and fast! My truck is safe & sound…tucked away in the garage. Get ready bud…may be heading your way! Not big enough to do any damage though but it came thru like a freight train.
