Best way to make it go off without actually crashing is to come up behind a car that is turning right. The system is looking for a difference in speed between you and the object in your path . If you time it so you just clear the turning car at posted speed just as it completes it's turn it will go off every time.

Ok, glad to see someone else has noticed the turning vehicle collision alert. I should probably also say that this doesn’t happen in parking lots or super low speed.

Yea Smurf. Closing speed is the key. Seems to be that if the system sees a 15-20 mph difference with any object in its path within roughly 30-50 feet it will trigger. This also holds true for my 15 explorer sport
