Cold start shake

Mine starts rough everyday, after a few seconds it smooths out.

Mine starts rough and smooths out after 15 seconds. The A/C compressor sounds like it engages hard but I have heard others the same way.

what is up with the quiet start I had it on for a while but shut it off now don't think it's much different. just think it might help on the shake?

I believe quiet start is a remote start option where the horn doesn't beep when it starts. With quiet start off the horn beeps once when you start the truck with remote start.

I have the shakes too, so sounds normal.

I would like to try the throttle re-learn which was posted in another thread to see if it would help, but I have not gotten that far

The idle trim reset?

Yeah that's not going to do anything if you have logged any amount of miles. The computer calibrates its self pretty quickly during normal driving. On the other hand that's a good way to ready your sensors if you are required to remove your tune for emissions testing.

That's funny I never hear the horn but definitely the pipes rumbling

Glad I found this thread. I was curious as to what causes this also. It seems like a cold start loop even when it's hot outside. Was pretty rough idle a few times now. As long as it doesn't do any damage.
