I would be much more concerned with a company that rushes a product to market. Cobb is known for their extensive product development, R&D, and testing. They are not going to release anything until it has been tested and proven.
Who knows what Cobb's connections are like with the OEM's. Perhaps they are in tight with Porsche and allows them access to the coding. Perhaps the coding is the same from previous years. Unless you work at Cobb it's speculation.meh? i don't know... they couldn't have had their hands on that many 991.2 GT2 RSs... there are just too few of them. Those cars have only been in US domestic owners hands for less than 6 months.
But our Next Gen raptor has been out for over two years. Has the Raptor been such a problematic platform for Cobb? I have to assume yes. What has been the difficulty bringing Raptor products to market? Were they underwhelmed with the gains and then having a hard time justifying the cost? Why are cobb parts available for a 2018 AT ecoboost Mustang and not a vehicle with a larger addressable market? It doesn't add up.
another thread ruined ...
anyway.. it is troubling how long Cobb is taking brining raptor products to market. I don't get it. Any speculation why they have prioritized other Ford platforms over the Raptor? Clearly, they know how to work with EcoBoost motors and their ECUs.. is the Mustang market so much bigger it was prioritized over the Raptor? are there other challenges? is it the 10 speed auto? Nope.. the 2018 Mustang has a similar transmission. what I'm getting at is there doesn't seem to be a business reason why you would deprioritize the Raptor platform.. so what gremlins have they been faced with?
Edit -- why on earth would they prioritize a porsche gt2 rs over this? that gt2 RS is so limited that most will go to porsche collectors who wouldn't dream of messing with it. makes no sense.
Part of Cobb’s plan. Make everybody ***** for their products and sell out the first day lolCan we just get a release date.....
Cobb doesn't make shit for every "popular" vehicle. Cobb only supports the vehicles THEY like and one of the staff usually purchases one of whatever. Oh, and although the F150 outsells every other vehicle on the road, it is still just a f*cking work truck. The Raptor version, while a pretty cool "truck", it's still just a f*cking truck, not a sports car.
got it.. so in a post where I'm asking for speculation, you have zero to contribute? just wasting bytes on the internet for the sport of it? love this forum. I'm surprised the vendors keep this place on life support.
