Completely understand, I’m glad to hear you had a good experience! The process you described is exactly how the warranty is supposed to work. The fact that you went through an Roush authorized Ford dealer who clearly has a good working relationship with Roush is probably what makes all the difference.

From your description it sounds like your concerns were pretty straightforward. The issue issues I’ve seen typically stem from the dealer not understanding the difference between Ford and Roush warranty. The dealer starts throwing parts at it billed under Ford warranty since it’s easier than going through Roush, only to find out weeks later that they issue is related to the aftermarket modifications, and Roush should have been involved in the first place. So now you have a customer who is upset that their car is still in the shop, they’re blaming Ford (a lot of ppl don’t understand that Roush/Shelby modified vehicles aren’t built by Ford), the dealer has thousands of dollars in repairs that aren’t warrantable, and Roush wants nothing to do with it because the vehicle has been disassembled multiple times with multiple repair attempts. Definitely a dealer originated issue, but it becomes a mess for all parties involved, especially the customer.
Definitely people buying Roush/Shelby or Hennessey upgraded vehicles should know that easiest way for anything related to the package they have on their truck/car they should go to authorized dealer (Roush/Shelby etc.) Anything not related to their aftermarket upgrades from above mentioned groups they can go to any Ford Dealer. For example on my Roush Supercharged F150 I had back passenger door that was misaligned ... I went to first Ford dealer with Body Shop and they aligned the door under Ford Warranty but for anything related to my Roush Upgrades I always went to authorized Roush/Ford dealer since they deal with them on daily bases and like I said never had a problem. The way it works with Roush Authorized dealer is that they send over pictures or claim to Roush first before doing any repairs. Roush takes a look at the claim and sends the reply to the dealer to proceed with repair or if their package was modified in any way they will usually deny repair.

I wish they did! It would be great is everyone buying these vehicles was as rational and informed as you are. You have it exactly right, if it's clearly Ford OEM (like door alignment), it's Ford warranty. If it's been modified or affected by the modification package, Roush needs to be the point of contact. The OEM cannot be held responsible for diagnosing and repairing a system that they didn't engineer.

To be honest I wouldnt have it other way. I have one tech at my local Roush/Ford dealer that touches my truck. He is Certified Ford/Roush tech and even when I went to install my Eibachs up front and Icons in the rear with RPG rear Shackles he was the one doing the work. When I had my 2017 Supercharged before I wouldnt trust any other tech to work on it when it came to supercharger application.
P.S.
I learned my lesson when I had my 2017 Roush Supercharged. I went to regular Ford Dealer for Oil Change and Tire Rotation. 5000 miles later on my next tire rotation that i had done at Discount Tires they had to destroy each of my Center Hubs with Roush Logo on them because OVERACHIEVER at Ford decided to put Lock Tide on every single bolt holding the Center Hubs on top of using Impact gun to put the bolts in which cracked every single one around the bolts

Can someone who ran ORA550 Tune with their TCM Tunning and Cobb Tune also with TCM Tunning post their findings about both TCM tunes. Which one in your opinion is better
