I would be surprised if Ford could pin point the week even if Fox told them all deliveries after *** are good. There is dealer inventory, logistics, warranty supplies etc all picking from batches. I bet they say, all that inventory should be used by x date, then add a month or two for the warranty build dates

In my opinion, if your truck is within the build dates, you need all 4 new shocks. The replacement of both of my rear shocks certainly helped, but didn't completely resolve the noise, and the front end still doesn't feel right. I was visiting my dad over the holidays and his 2019 Gen 2 feels so much more planted/heavy on the front end on small bumps.

I guarantee they can't pinpoint it either. I am just outside the SSM dates and since its gotten colder again they are soo annoyingly loud.

I am really frustrated with it and I have a great relationship with my dealer svc dept but because I am outside the SSM date range provided everyone says their hands are tied. They even acknowledged the clunking noise.

Chassis ears still apply for a clunking noise, have they used them yet? When a concern falls outside of an SSM or TSB, the dealer is instructed to follow normal WSM diagnostics, not just dismiss the concern because there’s no related bulletin.

I got the rears replaced this morning under warranty. It definitely fixed the clunk. I can't hear or feel anything coming from the rear shocks. Now that the rear shocks are fixed, the front shocks seem more noticeable. It's like they got worse but it was only because the rear shocks were so bad, that it took the attention away from the fronts. Even the Tech noticed on his test drive. Anyway, I have another appointment to diagnose the front shocks on the 14th. I'm not sure why they didn't test all four to begin with.

I just got an email from my service advisor. 3 shocks are received and ready to go for me, he said one (rear) is on backorder with no ETA. ☹️

Not yet. I am dropping it tomorrow for regular svc and going to request they use chassis ears this time. Thanks for your feedback.
