Well this article just came out today and may be the problem.

https://www.yahoo.com/autos/2021-2022-ford-f-150-192500497.html

It says some f150's, about 184k of them, may have a sound isolation failure that will result in driveshaft failure. The indication that you may be one of these trucks is a auditory rattling, clicking or clunking noise.

Apparently Ford will be sending a recall notice on Jan 31st. I asked my dealer if I could bring it in earlier for an inspection but have not heard back. Will keep you posted.

Fixed my clunk. Lol. Traded it. Will get back in line for 22. Hope they get all the issues sorted out.
If you dont mind me asking.... Did they give you a good trade in value for your 21? I'm looking online and people are selling there's for 95k + with only a few thousand miles. Curious what they are giving for trades.

I got quite a bit more than I paid for it and got the Tahoe for MSRP. I had no problems with the deal.

Was the clunk/rattle that bad or were there other contributing factors?
Clunk is beyond annoying. I have had so many of these trucks that don’t rattle or vibrate over every bump that I was just tired of it. Same with the reverse brake fault assist. Dealer turned it off and was back on next day. Hoping 22 is better.

I agree. I do think the clunk is that bad. I drive down roads for miles every day that drive me absolutely nuts. And that's even tougher to deal with when it's a $75k truck AND the fact that my wife's Expedition does NOT clunk or rattle when driving down the same streets.

Has anyone else scheduled or taken their Gen 3 to the dealership for this "unknown" ridiculousness? I'm leaning on trading mine since I'm getting the run around at my dealership after replacing the rear shocks and absolutely no better outcome.

Yeah, I took my truck out Thursday on some forest service roads out here in California and found some BLM trails that weren't quite wide enough for our trucks. But it was ALL under 20mph. So I spent 5 hours in my truck listening to the clunk song on repeat the entire time. Mildly infuriating.
