I tried the 303 protectant and it worked ok. It leaves a clean look finish. I like using it since it has UV protection.

All protectants and dressings will work better on a clean surface, and since rubber and similar surfaces will oxidize over time its key to clean before treating - regardless of what product you're using for protection.
