I just bought a 2011 with 29,000 miles and my steering wheel looks bad too. I tried to use leather cleaner to clean up the red section but the smooth outer portion of the leather is gone and it is down to a dull rough material. The sides of the steering wheel are worn as well. I actually ended up going back to the dealer, as it is under the Ford certified warranty, and pictures were sent into Ford of the steering wheel. I get the entire steering wheel replaced next week as Ford is covering it at no charge.

That's pretty sweet, JoshLEO137; let us know how the replacement goes. I'm glad they're taking care of this for you!

No problem, glad to hear. I just got mine on the other day and looks so much better. The red strip in the middle looks a little different then the original one. Seems to be a hair narrower, hoping this one lasts much longer.

I appreciate this thread! I would have thought warranty would have said no due to this stripe being "TRIM".

Anyway, went into local dealer on Friday - I have the 7 year/100,000 ESP warranty. They said the steering wheel was covered. On order!

Thanx!
