Chronicles of buying a used SVT Raptor

I started to unfu€k some of the lighting work and discovered more issues. Overall, the wiring and lights were a rats nest.
The front LED fog lights were puzzling, the LED specific wiring harness and mounts appear to rigid but the lights themselves are an Amazon special(?)!! The lights themselves were in constant contact with the lower bumper resulting in the paint being worn off.

Next I removed the broken Grampy reverse lights. These were wired through both the battery and the AUX harness. (?) The jack ass used a self tapping screw to mount the brackets. I wired wheeled the corrosion and used some UPOL etched primer to seal things up. Additionally, the hardware was so corrupted I had to use my angle grinder to remove it

While trying to follow the reverse light harness, I found a wire that was ran through the passenger side tail lights and into the bed. The wires attached to LEDs that were attached to underside of the railing. I was also able to find where the drainage tube dumped, that was a win.

My '14 also had spots of bottom edge peeling on the step rails. I glued them with super glue. With the rough finish of them, there wasn't a good looking way to remove the piece and touch up the steel. Far easier than removing both rails, stripping and repainting.

I can’t see super glue holding up long term…. If anything, I would at least use a 2 part epoxy. But peeling/grinding away the peeling potion and re-spray with bed liner would be best

Yes, of course it's best. The super glue has held up nicely. Really overkill to redo both boards when a few places the size of a quarter need repair.

The winter is upon us in MA, with that being said, bigger projects (shenanigans) are going to held off until the springs. Instead I'm going to focus on "freshening" up the things that bug the shit out of me.
On the forefront of these issues is lighting. Maybe it is because the Gen 2 and TRX spoiled me but the head lights and reverse lights are terrible. I've ordered a pair of Morimoto XB LED headlights and reverse light/license plate combo from VLEDs
