While at the Texas Run and my truck was on the lift getting the RPG upgrades, I chopped my exhaust.

I was going to do it after the rear axle, but at the advice of others and for a 'what the hell' moment, I just did it right after the muffler.

Sounds good IMO. I've already driven about 800 miles and don't seem to see any damage underneath the bed, I don't get fumes in the cab and I can talk and listen at normal volumes. Definitely gives me more rumble and a huge improvement on sound (for the cost of $0)

At the advice of Austin, I'll probably put a couple of turn downs on it and leave it as it is. :) Any negatives to doing this?

Here's some during shots:

For sure put the turn downs on. Also, check for the distance and angle to the rear axle, as some people have had concern with the heat on the rear axle.

turn downs are on. $30 and 30 minutes at Midas for them to fabricate and install. Sounds good IMO and I don't have to worry about flattening the tips in the back anymore.

Exactly what I did, just have a couple of ugly turndowns welded on there. I like it, those stock tips were ugly and dirty all the time.
