Hi all —

Checking in from Tulsa, OK. Picking up a 2018 Oxford White with 802A today. I’m super excited to get back to a full size.

I’m coming from almost a decade without a truck — tried the Jeep thing with a TJ Rubicon, then a Grand Cherokee and currently in a TRD Pro 4Runner.

$2500 under MSRP and right on with what I wanted in trade for the 4Runner.

I built a 2019 for comparison and it came out around $74K, so I decided to save that cash for upgrades and jump in on the ‘18.

Thanks for the knowledge base and your posts helping me make an informed decision.

Cheers!

Paul

Here’s a pic of the beast.

Working on rearranging the garage to get it inside.

The header above the door is curved and the truck has to go in the middle of the 2 car while my wife’s gets moved to the 1 car.

That's a nice Raptor. How do you like it compared to 4Runner?

I had a 1999 4Runner 4WD once, a little tight inside.

4Runner was small, underpowered and under “teched”

While it has legendary reliability and true drive around the world capabilities but it’s simply boring as a daily and it’s utility/capacity to haul and tow is limited.

It’s amazing how little things make a difference. Push to start and keyless entry being one. The TRD Pro doesn’t have it and fumbling for a key after years of not doing so became a major annoyance.

Lastly they are everywhere now, there are 5 white 4Runners in my neighborhood. I like having a unique rig and the Raptor fits that.
