This is what I think my issue is. My 40 was hooked up to aux 4 and it blew. The amp draw is so weak on aux 4 what are people using number 4 for?

A rigid 40" is almost 16 amps. AUX 4 is rated at 10amp. It could run a set of light cannons, duallys, or d2s just for example. But not a 40"

Its been awhile since I messed with the upfitters but If I remember right #3 has a 15 amp fuse which is the one I have my 40 connected to without any problems. Rigid had included a 15 amp fuse in the harness that came with the 40 but after reading that 5 amps per 10 inch of LED was recommended I called Rigid on it, they said some people were complaining of flickering so now recommend changing the 15 to a 20 amp even though it won't draw that much anyway.
I had a 4 inch LED light that would blow fuses and the problem turned out to be a single strand of wire hanging over the edge of the circuit board that would touch the aluminum housing of the light and pop the fuse.

The aux wire up thread says 10 amp for 4 and 15 amp for 3. If I remember correctly though there was some discussion on whether or not 3 or 4 were the same gauge wire? I haven't wired anything up yet so I'm going off what others have posted.

Yes, switch #4 is not rated for the amperage of your 40" light bar; connect it to switch #1 or #2 and you'll be fine.

People are using switch #4 for accessories that draw less than 10 amps or they're using a relay for anything that draws over 10 amps. Most every reputable manufacturer of electrical accessories will list the voltage and current requirements for all products they sell.

Ummmm.................. yeah, nice................but only for the 2010!

I just spent tonight after work trying to figure out that diagram. My 2011 has all of the upfitter RELAYS in a separate box near the driver's side firewall (NOT in the fuse/relay box shown above). The fuses are correct, though.

I'm not knocking it (for the 2010's) - just that I was mislead by that diagram and I'm trying to keep someone else from being confused by it too.
