Bit of a rant.... but here goes.
Can a dealer allocation that they ordered in "Orange" for example... Be changed to White if it already has a V.I.N but hasn't been built?
Is "serialized" the same thing as getting a V.I.N?
How far into the order/build process can vehicle options still be changed?
Dealer was supposed to give me their first allocation on a vehicle but never called me when it came up... Ordered a different color, and told me I could order one the color I wanted but that it obviously wouldn't be the first, since it was too late to change their allocated order, and would be coming later on whenever the new order got accepted... Which could be a couple more months.. Said that their existing allocation couldn't be changed...
I'm just curious if that is accurate? Or if they just want to keep the current allocation and get an additional order in... Getting a sale AND keeping an allocation is better for them than just selling me their allocation I would think.
(This is not in regards to a Raptor, but it is in regards to a Ford...)
Also... We have employee pricing out here... (Which is like A plan I believe?)
Would using an X-Plan pin in addition to the employee pricing help with any of the fee's or admin charges? According to X-Plan website... it says you can only be charged a max of 75$ in dealer fee's..
Also unclear.... if X-Plan is actually better or WORSE for trade-in. Sounds like with X-Plan they give straight up wholesale... versus... Non X-Plan which they "could" give something much higher or much lower than market value...
