Are you asking permission? Granted. I recommend changing both, not just one.

Deaver makes a great replacement leaf spring pak. They use many thin leafs, our stock springs use several thicker ones. The Deavers spring rate is progressive, and still offers a very comfortable ride.
What they do for us is to replace the 2" tall blocks underneath our stock springs which reduces rear axle wrap up, and they reduce the tendency for the rear end to get skitterish on small imperfections in the the road....

Several? I think the stock leaf pack is 3 or 4 and the deavers are 12 or 14.
