They are Ford parts. And they are pricey.
According to Randy the MSRP is $585 per side.
He got me a price of $450 per side.

I was stuggling with myself between an ADD rear bumper with lights, ADD Venom front bumper with light bar, and the graphics. In the end, I went with the least expensive and the one that I could get the quickest. The other two will follow at a latter date.

Ford makes their graphics on a clear sheet. The color you see is ink - no edges on the color.

For the 2010-2011 digital mud yes. As soon as I saw that in person I hated it. Yes easier to detail, but that clear edge of the sticker just looked horrible to me up close. I love how the digital mud looks, I hate how the clear edge looks.

For the 2012 graphic I'm pretty sure it's not printed on a clear sheet. If it is, I may be inclided to order a set. Can somebody with 12 graphics confirm?

heck $450 per side is still saving about $500 even after install over getting them factory installed!

I watched the "stripe guy" install my side graphics.
He stated that Ford made their graphics on a clear sheet with ink for the color.
I saw with my eyes the clear sheet, as he held it in his hands before placing them on the side of the bed.
BTW, he installed them wet, spraying both the side of the bed and the sheet.

Sorry, I forgot you were the OP and had the '12 graphics on your '11 lol.

So there is no edge on those Raptor text of the bed, it's one solid decal, not several pieces on a transfer sheet?

Can you draw in paint or something on the picture where the edge of the clear is? I haven't seen a '12 bed graphic in person yet.

I just completed another mod for my Raptor.
This one is all show, no go.

I didn't much like the 2010 and 2011 side bed graphics, but the 2012 graphics is another story.
So, with Randy's help I sprang for the 2012 side bed graphics.
I found a "stripe guy" to install them. He did them for $100.00 and took about 40 minutes from arrival to departure (pretty good hourly rate - $150/hr)

Congrats. What kind of tail lights are those ? Or is that just the way the photo turned out .

Let me come clean: If I see a crime occur, don't depend on me for any facts. I must see everything through rose colored glasses.

After carefully examining the graphic today let me try to describe it (I can't draw electronically at all)

  • The graphic is on one sheet of clear vinyl.
  • The non-letter black matte has no clear border. It is black to the edge.
  • Looking from back-to-front: Near the "P", where the non-letter black matte ends, there is a clear border the is about 1/8".
  • This clear border surrounds the "R" and the "A", maintaining its 1/8" width.
  • This border around the "R" and "A" might have the appearance that you detest. In some angles of light you can't see the border, but at other angles it is visible, though subtle.

I hope this clarifies my visual error.

I saw a 2012 at the Philly Auto Show on Friday with the bed graphics. I snapped some up close pics I'll post later, it shows the clear edge.

So it won't be as much of a PITA to detail as I imagined, but still has some line to the edge.

I'm torn on it now. I do like how it looks, but it was on white so I'll have to wait till I see it on a blue one.
