The sierras are full of snow - chain control implemented - how many of you use chains? Or will the A/T tires be good enough?

I was looking to order some chains for the truck as soon as it gets in.

Any of you guys have experience and have recommendations for a high quality set that's relatively straight forward to put on?

I believe that chains are a no-no on the Raptor. This question was asked before somewhere and manual says not to do it. There is a clearance issue with shocks.

Extreme off-road mud terrain tire perfect for light truck owners & extreme off-roaders seeking aggressive off-road traction & excellent handling on the highway. Attractive “side biter” design & wide, deep tread grooves for superior off-road mud & snow traction performance.

so the Raptor isn't snow road capable :whymewhyme:

I consider handling ~2 feet of snow with out much effort in a stock '11 screw: "Snow road capable".
I did lock the rear axle and mash the throttle a good bit more than normal, but as far as I'm concerned: "Raptor likes snow".

I thought about chains my first winter, and saw the disclaimer on using them, but after a few heavy snow falls, the idea of chains never again crossed my mind.

Not so much "is it capable" but "is it legal" - CHP has mandated chain checkpoints... sometimes it's waived if 4x4 with snow tires...
