While I agree with your overall premise, the only 'tests' I saw where Turtle Wax won out were not well setup. Car craft does the best testing on youtube (with WaxMode close behind) and his test showed HCW winning most categories, including durability.

Check out Scott's video on youtube https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-oXcXNFwM2x8WX9VTBid4w and Apex detail as well. Turtle Wax lasted 11 months in the Texas heat. Can't beat it for under 10 bucks. Plus it's easy to apply after a wash.

I just coasted my Lexus with Mothers CMX before I heard about Ice and Shine. I going to coat my Infinity with Turtle Wax Ice and Shine and see who wins out.

My Raptor is wrapped with Suntek ultra except doors and hood. I coated them with Gtechniq Crystal Serum light + EXO since my Raptor paint is shit. I'm going to see if helps with durability and scratch resistance. I have more scratches on my grocery getting 1 year old Raptor with 3K miles than my Lexus with 150K miles.

I've seen them. Ceramic doesn't help against scratches or paint chips. And I'm not saying turtle wax is bad, but HCW beats it in all the metrics I care about and is either equivalent or close in longevity.

I cp’d My 17 Shelby 18 mos ago (gold package). It still looks like new, cleans easily, and wicks away water. I will likely do my raptor soon. I highly recommend it, just make sure the detailer knows what they are doing with paint correction .
