Were you able to just use the existing holes or did you drill?
The FAS1 safes don’t come pre-drilled in order to allowing mounting based on application. You definitely learn how tough 7 GA steel is when drilling yourself! Were you able to just use the existing holes or did you drill?
Apparent E&G got bought and supposedly the company that bought them will continue to make the safes, but they don’t have one for the 2021s yet.Anyone know of a half console safe like the one from American Trucks for the 2021? Don't love having the entire console taken up by the safe and the one above doesn't fit the 2021. I checked E&G's website and it looks like they're going out of business....
Thanks for the info! The FAS1 safes don’t come pre-drilled in order to allowing mounting based on application. You definitely learn how tough 7 GA steel is when drilling yourself!
Ummm…pretty sure Mexico & THEFT go hand in hand…if your worried about stuff getting stolen, probably don’t want to take a $80k Raptor down to Mexico…How does this secure inside the glovebox so that no one just takes the entire box? In my Jeep I have a lock box that bolts down to the front drivers seat underneath. All someone would need is impact wrench and socket set but that’s the best option on that vehicle. My vehicle will be spending a lot of its time in Baja. I’m also trying to figure out what else I need theft wise. Ideally I’d want something that notifies my phone when someone is around. Almost like a ring door bell for car.
Any recommendation on lock type? Standard 4 digit vs. electronic? Thinking keys can get lost and/or would have to be carried on keychain which is a pain when valeting or having someone else park your car.Lockerdown has theirs available for pre order right now. Ordered mine a week ago, waiting for it to arrive. Yes a 21 F150 is what you need. (Use code fall21 for $50 off)
