I believe I just got the standard one for the PL-259 style connection. A 25 foot cable is plenty. I ran the cable down the stake pocket and in between the fender well and the bedside. On the SCAB theres a grommet under the drivers seat that I entered the cab through. I notched the grommet and sealed it with RTV. I didnt run though the frame but I did parallel the stock harness for a bit. If you have a SCREW you just have to find which entry/exit point works for you.

The power comes from the passenger foot well tapped to Aux 1 @ 15A which fo rmy ICOM 880 is enough current. Id double check to see how much amperage that Cobra pulls and see how much the cig lighter can handle.

The ICOM 880 has a removable face and its in my sun glass holder. The line for that runs down the A pillar. All of this comes together in my console where the base unit is mounted. I had to take out both seats and loosen the console to run everything under the carpet and come up through the bottom of the console.

If you need any more info just holler.

Hey Robtor, do you know if there is a way to route a power wire from the driver/passenger footwell (aux switch) up to the dashboard storage area (on top of the center radio/AC cluster)? I'm thinking about mounting a radio on top of there using one of the Builtright dash mounts (https://www.builtrightind.com/products/builtright-industries-dash-mount-2015-ford-f-150) but I'm not sure if there is a way to route power in there.

Thanks for the info on routing the antenna wire through the fenders and up through that floor grommet; I think I will do the same thing!

Im pretty sure there is a path. I would begin by taking the speaker tray out and taking the glove box out. Tape the wires to a straitened hanger and attempt to fish them through the dash from the tray to the glove box area. If you get em to pop through there then it should be an easy route to the foot well from the glovebox.

In regards to the grommet. Make sure you re seal that back up good!

Good luck!

Thanks for the help! I'll give that a try.
Can you tell me which one of the EZN antenna mounts you bought (long/short and which antenna mount), also where did you get your wire from that goes from the antenna to the radio?

Im 99% sure it was a model #910 Long. I also have one in the other stake pocket for my safety whip flag thing...

The wire was purchased from Ham Radio Outlet in Anaheim CA. Great store, but I see you're a ways from there. They also do mail order. https://www.hamradio.com/ Just give them a call.

Thanks for taking the time to answer, I really appreciate it!
