So I'm cruising along doing 75-80ish when a Pontiac GTO pulls up behind me... The late model from like 2004 or something. He's all over my bumper but we're in good sunday evening traffic so there's really nowhere to go. Even if I let him by... There's another 10 cars in front of me doing the exact same speed. 3 miles have passed and I pull over to let him by... And pull immediately back behind him. My N-Fab front bumper might as well have been in his back seat, and I'm pretty sure my HID's were burning the back of his head. Needless to say, a lane opened up that had some pretty good room to, "Play". He hammers on the throttle, I follow suit, and we're off. Funny thing was, we both hit our governor's which in Canada are set to 160km/h... Probably 95ish mph. So we're drag racing down the highway, with no one making any progress and my bumper still in his back seat... He must have been ******** his pants. We hit traffic again, he made a few moves, I followed but it was, "Shake your ***** gentleman, this pissing match is over"... Needless to say, I came home and searched for some programmers, I was pretty upset I couldn't keep pulling past 160. That will be the last time...

I apologize in advance for anyone who is against "street racing" or anything illegal like that... I've been reprimanded on other forums for these kind of stories...

Driving from South Dakota back to Illinois couple days ago I loaded my 5star economy tune well i found out several times that Mike didn't take off the governor with his economy tune. On the way back to South Dakota tomorrow I will be running my performance tune. No more governor on that tune.

So there is a Government required speed governor in Canada? Never knew that. I just sold an 06 GTO for a downpayment on my Raptor (if my Raptor ever shows up). I missed it almost immediatley, I just really needed a truck. With bolt ons and a good dyno tune it made close to 400 rwhp and it was fast as a bastard....

I want to see what I get on the way back home to compare it. The economy tune is better than the stock tune it shifts alot better but performance wise it is closer to stock. Performance tune runs alot better than stock. It really wakes up the truck. With five star you get to choose 3 tunes.

Lol Shane!
Street racing, while not condoned, won't get you banned here...

I've always found it funny that our trucks can hit the governer in 3rd gear.

Oh, and Crazy - yes all imported vehicles into Canada have some sort of governer. It seems to be different depending on the make - but Chevy used to be 181km/h (about 120mph) in the late 80s. I know, because in the xGF's Z24 the MAP sensor would blow if you hit that. Learned 3 times...

Haha right on... Never thought of it that way. Gotta love how those horses love to get up and play.
