CarPlay and Wi-Fi

Possible to make the Wi-Fi stay connected while Apple CarPlay is connected? It’s hell trying to disconnect CarPlay to use Wi-Fi when I don’t have cell good service.


Phone is verizon
Truck is AT&T. One works where the other doesn’t in remote areas of NM I go.

Anyone get Wi-Fi to connect with CarPlay? I have to disconnect from CarPlay to be able to use the Wi-Fi in the truck. Why doesn’t it just stay connected as it did in the past?

Wireless CarPlay uses Bluetooth to establish the initial connection with the phone and then switches to WiFi enable the functionality. In order to use separate WiFi you need to disable CarPlay in the Bluetooth settings on your phone under your vehicles connection and then connect the phone manually using a usb cable.

Thanks. I was hoping there was a way to avoid that. Wireless CarPlay is nice
