I had to check mine, after seeing these pics, and I noticed this also. The fact that the stock skid plate offers better protection.

The factory skid plate protects this area. This is what hold me back from getting an aftermarket bumper - none of them come with a skid plate that protects the lower control arm mounts.

I wouldn't let that be your only hold back. It does cover that area, but it's at the corner of the skid and not supported, so it didn't take much to expose it.

For a while i thought those icon arm protectors were a plate for this area, someone get their engineering hat on and design something :ehcapt: ;)

Other than a few skid plate hits, this is the only thing I've found...so far:

At some point in the weekend, I sheared the front mounting screw on the shock guard allowing it to rotate forward resulting in it meeting up with the bottom of the shock housing. It appears that the shock won the battle.

Anybody have an extra shock guard that they are willing to part with? It doesn't have to be new, just as long as it's in one piece and the three mounting holes are still there.

That's very true kaiser! But even with the stock skid plate on it wouldn't hold up that well on a hit that was hard enough to bend that piece back that far. It will help in protecting it but only so much. Now if there was a way to strengthen this area or protect it better that would be awesome!

My exhaust hanger didn't come completely off and I'm not really sure if I can say this happened at havoc but I was taking the still exhaust off and putting on my new magnaflow exhaust I got from Jason and I notice this. I have no idea how long this has been like that... Hell it could be from TRR12 for all I know oh well got the new one in and it sounds great!
