I'm interested to see what the Hood vent and side vents look like in matte Carbon Fiber, if anyone has a photo please post. Will the matte hold up to the elements as well?

I will be sure to post some pictures and a little review. Should have them by Thursday and will do my best to install right away.

You could get banished from the desert if you come out with 20’s, painted wheel flares, lifts or too many flash accessories lmao.

Many folk here and elsewhere have strong opinions and think an off-road truck like this should be kept that way. Or why buy a truck built specifically for off-road and spend the money to modify it and maybe decrease its off road performance.

I can see there point. I can also see the fact that if you paid for it, you can do whatever you want with it. Most of these rigs become mall crawlers anyway. Hey I’m keeping the truck more true to it’s intended design and purpose. But to each his own. Now if your modifying it let’s say to make it perform better off road and you put a 6” lift on it and 22’s, then your ill informed and did poor research. You probably deserve ridicule. Peeps have strong feelings for this truck, so if your skin is thick as I think it is. You will make it though.

I’m not saying I don’t like forged CF. I can say I don’t have a lot of experience with it either. The classic look of STD CF can go anywhere. The forged may not. Then again to each his own and I would like to be more a fan of it, should I get more exposure to it on more vehicles.
I hear ya, but yeah when those people buy me, or whoever they complain about, their Raptor then I'll do WHATEVER they want me to do or NOT to do...I would be glad too.Hell, I'll put training wheels on it if they so desire. Until then, opinions are like ********, everyone has one. apparently forums along with other social medias gave people, who normally would get laughed at and told to shut the F up a platform for a chance, to at a minimum, get the words out. But anyway... Forged is cool, its relatively new so it takes time, definitely an acquired look. Your probably dead spot on, geared more towards exotics rather than trucks used for off road even though if your full blown Baja racer then your always looking for the strongest lightest material that has the ability to be molded. And that would be forged. but for cost effectiveness CF is still the way to go right now.

I had a set of matte race fairings on my bike before I put it into a wall. It definitively scratches easier. As far as long exposure the elements are concerned, I really cant answer that because they were never exposed to those conditions.

Lol very true. It’s your’s, do as you want. May not be true to the design or heritage, but maybe your not either lol. Down here we see it all. Many a good and bad trends come from down here.

@TerribleONE can you messages me some pictures of the matte installed.
@EL Snagadore i would be interested in seeing them on the leadfoot. Could you do the hood and vents in forged?
The hood vent and side vents are gloss that he got, I just meant they were on a leadfoot which someone asked for pictures of the set on a leadfoot.
Forged is a bit away... I'm not sure there is a market for many raptor parts in forged carbon. A few would buy it but not that many.

I look it like this, I respect everyone's lane, I love seeing anything different and built with passion for what people enjoy and the environment they are in. I think its totally up to you. I get what your saying about what the trucks design and heritage and what is meant for, but that is a severely vague description. Perfect example. My BMW S1000RR HP4 bike. The RR is supposed to stand for Race Ready, designed for the track with WSBK heritage. Well....

After we purchased it do you know how many parts we retained on it before it became truly race ready? Just four. The frame, swing arm, motor, and gas tank. even the full active electronic suspension got yanked for an Ohlins. I mean that's it, four original items. So people that take their Raptor out and rip around on some dunes doesn't mean its ready to go to the Baja 500 and be competitive. It's sort of like me going to every person that has a street bike and saying "Seriously? You put LED lights on your bike, or you have chrome dipped parts? No way... That's meant to be a track bike and you should never do that.

Some people take this shit way too serious... You see what a ****** up world we live in right now, and people are worried about who is doing what to their Raptors and if they think is right or wrong ... Man if that's the only shit they have to worry about in life then I want their life... lol. I actually appreciate the chat and respect your POV @k233.

@EL Snagadore dont care gloss or matte just wouldn’t mind seeing the parts on a leadfoot. I personally wouldn’t mind ordering a set sooner or later. I didn’t get the extended warranty and I grew up 45 minutes from pismo dunes, The truck will get broken, reworked and probably broken again. I have been researching these sense their inception.
