Unfortunately designing a whole new hood vent is something I would have to have someone at the team do. They would have to scan the original, add changes, 3D print it and then go through that process. As cool as it would be to do Its too much work on my end. If I had everything and could do it myself I would do so. Sadly I do not

So the tall hood vent is off the table? Thanks for trying.....

Yeah I don’t know. While it could work, it may just be jazzy for an off-road truck. Surely a high end sports car or a fully decked out street truck. Unlike std CF I think you really like the look of forged or you don’t.

Having done a couple of CF dashboards, here’s another great spot for it. Not necessarily for this truck.
Yeah I agree, So my truck will never see the dirt or baja or anything else. I live in the city and looks/performance for me are primarily the goal. I had no idea that putting bigger wheels on my raptor with a off set would upset so many people on here. I feel like a broke a raptor commandment. lol. When I told my friends 2 years ago " I'm going to build an S63 Coupe, Going to widebody it, wrap it in Black Chrome, and have Translucent electric blue wheels built for it with Chartreuse powder coated calipers. and put 730 to the wheels" They all said " That sounds ******* horrible and Ugly, have you lost you lost your mind?" I guess its all in what people like and works for them. I think Forged carbon is really bad ass, definitely takes some getting use too to appreciate it, but yes. May not be for people who go hard with their raptors. I think carbon fiber is classy, classic, and timeless. and I think my car turned out awesome... lol...

Way ahead in owning a raptor?
I highly doubt fit, form and function will be an issue. I own a leadfoot gen 2 and would like to see said carbon fiber products on a gen 2 in the leadfoot color.
One guy who bought the hood and side vents has a led foot, or is waiting delivery so maybe he can post some picts of the CF on it. We were only talking about getting items made in forged carbon. I have no idea on the cost. I don't think fitment is an issue, Its usually the bigger the items the more difficult. especially if they are odd shapes and flex. I have seen side pods/ floors that need a little work to get on the race car but we make it work. The hood vent and side vent were dialed in. The side vents fit pretty tight which is good, hopefully no ones decides just to yank them off, It will take some work. They have no bolts, just clips holding them on.

SO just checked the Door handles that people suggested, To much... need two different handles L & R and there are ones with electronics for entry and ones without. so probably going to pass on those
Good news is that Mirror covers are cheap :). I think regardless were going to do the Applique, a few of us want them, and mirror covers and that may be it. And just run with those for a bit. Then maybe toss around the idea of a business. Putting in some capital, seeing if I can even get an account with the supplier and just do things the right way. Its just mind boggling the directions you can go in... Which cars, which company, which models, which parts... Someone get me the number of the SBA I hear they are handing out money left and right lol.

You could get banished from the desert if you come out with 20’s, painted wheel flares, lifts or too many flash accessories lmao.

Many folk here and elsewhere have strong opinions and think an off-road truck like this should be kept that way. Or why buy a truck built specifically for off-road and spend the money to modify it and maybe decrease its off road performance.

I can see there point. I can also see the fact that if you paid for it, you can do whatever you want with it. Most of these rigs become mall crawlers anyway. Hey I’m keeping the truck more true to it’s intended design and purpose. But to each his own. Now if your modifying it let’s say to make it perform better off road and you put a 6” lift on it and 22’s, then your ill informed and did poor research. You probably deserve ridicule. Peeps have strong feelings for this truck, so if your skin is thick as I think it is. You will make it though.

I’m not saying I don’t like forged CF. I can say I don’t have a lot of experience with it either. The classic look of STD CF can go anywhere. The forged may not. Then again to each his own and I would like to be more a fan of it, should I get more exposure to it on more vehicles.

BTW is the Applique to resemble the factory part but just in CF of course? I have seen plain Fordless and Raptor less versions. They look like plain vanilla to me. An exact part as factory but it just being made out of CF would have people saying is that a Ford option? Lol

For those that are in on the first batch, please post pics after install. I'll be watching this thread and might be in for the 2nd or 3rd batch, if they happen.

I'm interested to see what the Hood vent and side vents look like in matte Carbon Fiber, if anyone has a photo please post. Will the matte hold up to the elements as well?

I work for a race team doing data Acquisition and during some down time when we couldn't do much I had our carbon fiber chassis supplier make some parts for a few things. One of those being my raptor. Started with the hood and side vents, They turned out amazing. This supplier made my race bikes complete CF set up and that turned out amazing for race spec, which always isn't about beauty. So I think we are going to do the Applique and possibly the grill (Ford and outter rim). I kinda need some recommendations. Should I make the applique without the F150 and Raptor badge OR keep the badges. I feel if I keep it blank then people could possibly put it on regular F150's as well. But then will Raptor owners want to have the badges on? well here are the hood and side vents and some of the work they did for my race bike.View attachment 148203 View attachment 148204 View attachment 148205 View attachment 148206 View attachment 148215
