The fronts on the 2012+ and the Option on the Gen 2 is a Torsen diff on the front so no clutch packs.

And on the rear its a locker so no clutch just direct engagement. The mustangs normal 8.8 was the clutch pack and on the road race was Torsen or optional add on.

I won't say this hear again altho I think the g2 will have the same IWE that is where the clutch pack need's to be used instead of IWE use a clutch pack to engage no more broke or wore out parts it should just slip if needed.

All those saying to just apply voltage to it to lock well you would be WRONG.. You will burn it up.

Now Walter Burch has a unit for the Gen 1 that has the correct voltage to enable the locker outside of the Vehicle controls and I bet it can be setup for the Gen 2 as well. Just need to look at the connectors and wiring to make sure its the same setup. Seems it is even more useful with the Gen2.

I have to have 2WD and Locker action as its my favorite way to run at SnoBall and in the sand.

Ok, add a resistor to make it 5v or whatever. That problem is easily solved.

Here is the issue: PWM. Luckily someone already has a kit that emulates the PWM Ford uses. Not sure if it works on these trucks, but I expect there would be a solution eventually.

The owners manual says the rear locker is available at any speed in Baja mode it also says 2x4 is available in Baja mode. On the gen 1 I had to turn off all nannies, turn on offroad mode and pull the 4x4 knob out but leave it in 2 wd. It was like launching a flipping rocket to the moon pushing all those buttons. I hope this works for the Gen 2. The manual is not clear.

Can a current gen 2 owner try Baja mode with all nannies turned off and the try to lock the rear in 2wd. Is it possible to turn off all nannies?
