Hey all! While in college i started building drag cars and found myself moving towards offroad racing. Picked up a 2017 f150 supercrew last year and am finally starting my build. Had fox 2.0s front and rear and got tired of that real fast. Upgraded the rear this past week to gen 2 bumps, springs, and shocks. Plan on over hauling the front suspension with gen 2 parts and gen 1 shocks for the time being and then slowly upgrading parts from there. Looking at doing the fiberwerx bulge fenders and bedsides as well. Hoping to end up with either icon or deavers with a solid hydraulic bump kit Thought I'd post and see if you guys had any input and or recommendations for the build! This is awesome!! I am def deciding on doing a similar thing once I feel I have to. Buy a V8 F150 and do a raptor swap! Keep us updated, can't wait to see the progress. Why did you get tired of the 2.0's? They weren't enough?

It’s a lot of work and money to make an F-150 more like a Raptor. I started with a 2018. So far I’ve completed the front and rear fenders and rear Icon Leaf with King bypasses.

It can get expensive. One of the most expensive and overlooked pieces is the rear axle and then putting 4.10's in the front diff too. As far as front suspension goes you don't have to go raptor specific. Plenty of companies making F150 mid-travel kits that most likely out perform OEM Raptor front suspension.

But I will say, If I did it all over again, I'd have bought a lariat F-150 with a 5.0, thrown a little more coin in parts at it and would have came away with a supercharged v8 "rip a raptor a new *******" kind of truck.

Jus, sayin... drop 70K into that F-150 and dollar for dollar, you'll have a lot more truck and probably less into it than I have in my raptor.

Nice! Seriously considered doing this myself as well, and even contacted the V8 Raptor folks down near Houston. Decided I wanted the Supercab/short bed combination more than the V8.

We've got you covered with an oem replica hood, and fender extensions. Not sure how wide you are looking to go, but we just released +2.5 Fenders and bedsides, which would be about 5" over for an F150.

I plan to eventually get a used gen 2 rear axle and also front as well. I have been talking with jt at baja kits for the past few months asking every question imaginable. I will mostly likely do the OEM raptor components first and upgrade as needed. It's actually cheaper to do that then drop over 6k in their kit
