Cancelled My Order

Cancelled my order today and got my deposit back. Back to the drawing board. No worries though...I have a plan in the works right now and I will be fine. However, I am super pissed at my former dealership (Apple Ford) because I wasted almost 2 months waiting for some kind of information that didn't even exist. I was completely lied to and taken for a ride (no pun intended). I realize there are truly decent sales people out there, but it's a shame when one salesman's shady tactics, can spoil the reputations for all. I will be much wiser on the next deal. Needless to say, I will never go back to that dealership or recommend them to any of my friends or to anyone here.

That sucks. I was so fortunate, ordered mid February, vin mid March, and took delivery April 12th. I have seen so many horror stories about delivery. Good luck

I did some searching and was able to place an order with an out of state dealership. It's all good because when my Raptor comes in, my son and I are flying down to pick it up and drive it back...ROAD TRIP! It should be a blast. Plus, it will be a memory my 10 year old son will never forget.

They didn't order him a truck and lied to him and told him they did.

Oh...that. I told the dealer that I wanted my deposit back because of the lack of communication and for basically giving me the run-around, every time I asked a simple question. I couldn't get a DORA or an order number or anything else. I had no idea what was going on with my order. When I asked for my deposit back, all of the sudden, they wanted to give me information. According to them, my order was pulled by Ford and was to be built next month. Kinda odd that the very same day that I ask for my deposit back, I find out that my Raptor is scheduled to be built next month. I can't afford to believe them any longer. In the end, I got my deposit back and I really think that they didn't care. More than half of the emails I have from this salesman, are loaded with sarcasm. Trust me...I'm a life long smart ass, so I recognize sarcasm when I read it. It was just an all around bad experience. Lesson learned.

Now do you see what I've been dealing with? I knew they were just telling me that to string me along even longer...********! No worries though, as one door closes, another opens. I have another one on order (for real this time) and if everything goes to plan, my son and I will be taking a road trip in the near future. I can't wait.

Bob - Sorry I never followed up with you after our initial PMs, but I did look through all their orders and as of about 10 days ago, there were no Raptor orders submitted to Ford after the date you "ordered" yours.
