It is not their fault. They are building the design ford gave them. It is flawed.

Are you serious??? Do you know how the UAW works?

One example..... Ford assembly lines may have a quota of x number of products thru the line during a shift. If all the workers agree to speed up then they can get thru a shift in much less than 8 hrs. (But still get paid for 8).

Sasquatch, you really need to say less because the more you post, the more of an idiot you make yourself to be.

I suppose I'll take my chances with the 2017. I have to admit though, the Ford quality control based on everything I've read is a joke.

You also have to understand that this is my first American car, so some of you may be immune to these issues and consider them as "minor" and "normal". Believe me, it's not when compared to the SEVERAL German cars that I've owned in the past.

There are several threads on here where one person after another all with 1000 or so miles went and checked underneath their cars and they all had oil leaks. I'm sorry but when you spend $70k on a truck, you shouldn't be dealing with ********* issues like this. This is all down to ****** quality control at Ford.

Because German cars have never had a mechanical failure or quality issue in the history of the universe.

Yeah right.

Yeah right.

I think he may have been talking about initial quality, not so much as the issues further on.

They definitely have their issues later on, but the initial quality is definitely up there. The initial quality of my truck has been lower than what I would have expected for a "special/rare" vehicle

5000 km on my truck not one issue, so i would say get the color you want and get it when you can , i am 100 % happy with my purchase and personaly i expected a few problems but so far nothing to report. Besides a 2018 can have just as many issues as a 2017 who knows

Hi all,

I've been browsing these forums for several days now and I'm not exactly sure if I want to cancel my 2017 order and wait for a 2018 or not. I come to you current owners for advice...

My only concerns are the engine quirks and little b.s. things that I don't know if I want to deal with on a $70k truck.

From what I have seen, some of the issues I've been seeing are:

* Oil leaks
* Abnormal cam noise
* Wastegate issues
* Misfires
* Intercooler condensation
* Poor idle with AC running

There are most likely more that I am missing. I ordered the Avalanche Gray which I read is being discontinued for 2018. That would be a bummer. I also read that Race Red is going to be an option for 2018 which would likely be my alternative choice.

What should I do folks!
Definitely cancel. Don't order anything ever, because you might be one of the very few who has a problem. Instead save your money, but take it out of the bank because the bank might blow up. Keep it in a safe in your house.. oh but there might be an earthquake. Then youre ******.

I just would wrap yourself in a bubble and go in the fetal position.
