I am an x-plan customer. The x-plan price would have been higher than the price I actually negotiated. I didn't even bother asking. There are plenty of '13 trucks that can be had on the lot for near invoice. The '14's will be harder to get close to invoice unless you order one.

Hey Guys,

In Canada they are honouring A-Plan pricing for the month of December for 14 Raptors and they are giving dealers 3,000 in dealer cash and if you own a Ford product you qualify for another 2,000 off. You might want to check with your Ford store since I'm sure they must be offering something to our brothers in the south.

Technically speaking, Raptor is not "officially" eligible for AXZ plan purchases. A/Z plan is a little under invoice and X plan is generally just a few hundred dollars above invoice after discounts and fees. The AXZ plan price is printed on the vehicle invoice; plan customers are entitled to see the invoice so they can verify that they're paying the plan price. Because Raptor is not eligible for plan purchases, I don't know if the plan prices are even printed on the invoice... anyone dealer staff know?

When a Ford employee generates an AXZ plan pin number, they receive an email after generating it and another email after the customer takes delivery of the vehicle. I don't doubt that employees are generating X plan pin numbers and that dealerships are accepting them and honoring the X plan pricing. What I don't believe is that the dealerships are actually submitting the X plan to Ford for reimbursement.

Like I said, I'm being technical about this and the customer probably doesn't really care if they "officially" used an X plan as long as they get the X plan price.

Regardless, with the current state of Raptor supply/demand, production/allocation, and the upcoming model year change of the F-150, I'm not sure many dealers will continue to offer X plan or near invoice pricing on 2014MY going forward. This is just my opinion.

I wonder if the salesman is paid different commission on the plans vs. not? When we ordered our 13 Flex I had X plan available but the salesman said don't worry about it I'll give you invoice which is a few hundred cheaper. Seemed like he had a reason to not use the plan. Don't know if it mattered to him or the dealership or what.

Yep, what I was told, its a set commission using the plan. Remembering now this was a while ago, it was 250.00 using the plan papers.
