I here you guys, I got my order in October and a VIN and build date by end of October, truck was scheduled for 11/29 build ended up being built 12/9 completed and released to shipper on 12/17 with an ETA of 12/24, then 1/7..... now 2/4 been ~45 days and counting still hasnt left Michigan. Apparently the trucker shortage is real and the vendor has yet to fulfill shipments. All I can do is sit back and relax and know I'll get it at somepoint...

Why not stick with your original order, and order from another dealer as well. If they require a down payment, ask that it’s refundable. It’s a waiting game for all, but to still be unscheduled clean from an October order would have me pissed as well. I would have asked for the zone/regional reps contact info awhile ago

This is like having one person from your entire party at the store stand in different check out lines and then everyone moves to the first person who reaches the check out clerk.

I know the allocation shell game is frustrating, even more so than in 2016-2017 but putting in multiple orders at multiple dealers is a crap shoot at best right now.

We’ll I picked mine up last night for some lady in a Chrysler 300 with no license or insurance slammed tf into the truck . I’m sure I’ll be waiting for
Parts for another 6 months . Lol sorry had to vent

Damn. That is profoundly screwed up, but at least you’re ok enough to type this up.

uninsured drivers should lose their lic for 5 years min. NO Excuse, just another dreg from society's gutter, another offense they should have plenty of time in jail to think about how stupid they were. Sorry I am no fan of criminal first victim second mentality, more of the criminals have no rights because they chose to break the law, therefore they need to compensate those they make victims until the debt is paid.

every action has an equal and opposite reaction. you mandate licenses, guess what - people still drive without them. Make them more “exclusive” so that having a license means something, even more people don’t comply. make the license super easy to get and you end up with people putting on makeup while driving and cell yakking...

Bad drivers collide with others more and end up with higher insurance rates and eventually they stop paying insurance, but guess what - they don’t stop driving.

I’m not saying it’s right, just that if simple answers would simply fix the problem overall, we’d have figured it all out by now.

Not to gum up the works here with yet another ordering thread but at this point my head’s been spinning trying to wrap my head around what’s actually going on with my order. After selling my 2020 I placed an order for a 37 at MSRP in August that wasn’t picked up and was reordered as a 2022 in October. Among my first mistakes was not specifically verifying that the dealer had any Raptor allocations, let alone one for a 37. I was told at the time that Ford was "prioritizing retail orders" and thusly my truck would have a good chance of getting built. Fast forward to now and my order has been sitting at unscheduled clean with priority code 13 since October. Getting fed up I demanded some answers from the dealer and they said today they have 2 allocations for 2022, possibly 3, and that I am 3rd in line for orders at their store. They said none of their orders have been picked up yet and they don’t know when the 2 orders before me will be scheduled or whether or not they will receive the 3rd allocation. I guess I’m still just confused about a few things, are they completely BSing me about not knowing for sure if they’ll get the third allocation? And lastly, if they have allocations for the first two trucks, why haven’t those been scheduled yet if they've been on order since summer?

I have considered starting over and have a made dozens of calls finding a few dealers who claim to have 37 allocations for 2022 and will accept the order today. I have a hard time believing them and one gentleman told me that although he had an allocation to stick with my original order as ordering with him would “put me at the back of the line with Ford”, which at this point I struggle to understand.

Should I stick with the current dealer or move on to another who claims to have an allocation? Any help appreciated!
Every dealership knows how many orders they were to receive a few months ago, keep the order you have an make more calls to see if anyone is able to give you a remaining allocation or if they have a short call list for anyone who backs out

It's a no brainer buddy. Let the first one run and go find a dealer with an allocation. Good luck.

So true. My dealer pretty much said that Ford is a real mess right now. They own multiple dealerships for different manufacturers ... none are even close to being as messed up as Ford is. Their IT is the worst by far. Look at BMW for example... their SC plant has produced more vehicles this year than it did in 2019, pre-Covid and pre-everything shortages!
Funny you mention BMW. I ordered a 2022 X5 for my wife this past Sept 29th and drove it home October 15th. Was nice to get the car but didn't make me any happier with Ford. Paid under invoice too.

I did hear from the dealer this morning; salesman said that their first allocated Raptor was "acknowledged by Ford" this morning but is still not scheduled. Feels like I say this a lot here but I have no idea what that means.

Went ahead and placed the second order. Dealer says they have another allocation at MSRP if anybody is interested. Located in New England.

Where in NE? Did you receive an email from Ford showing that your order was received? Might take a day or two after the order, and assuming the dealer put in your email address... but that basically means that Ford has the order. Once the order is picked up by Ford for production you'll get another email saying it has been scheduled, with a build week, and a VIN. The time between those two is anyone's guess. Then, the time to actually go into production is a bigger guess! lol

Bright side of this of this unfortunate incident and post. Appears the Gen 3 2022 truck paint has been upgraded or at least a quality clear coat in in production.
