Yeah.. I called to set up the rental ahead of time, and the front desk girl made it very clear that I wouldn't be getting a raptor as my rental, which was expected. She clearly has had a few pissed off customers looking for a equal replacement while they're getting service.
What transmission reprogram are you having done? I mentioned TSB 182274 which is a TCM/PCM reprogram to the latest version and they looked at me like I was crazy... I understand it may be an old TSB, but come on.

Unfortunately a single dealer family owns more than half of the dealerships in colorado springs, and both of the ford dealers here. This is the same dealer that told me my previous F150 was struck by lightning... we hadn't had a thunderstorm all year.

Phil Long died in 2001. I think those dealerships are now run by MBAs or by unqualified progeny. Either way, they suck big time.

That is crazy! Well I used to have to drive 2 hours round trip to take my truck to a dealer but it was well worth it.

For my cam phaser recall, my dealer loaned me a newer F150 base model work truck. I was happy to have a truck (hunting season), put almost 1500 miles on that thing in two weeks.

That’s fantastic. Only thing either dealer down here has ever offered me is a shuttle, destination unknown. Just depends I guess…wife drives a stupid Audi and her dealer will literally give her a loaner if she needs an oil change and has to be at work while it’s done. One of the dealers has Enterprise on site to rent cars but nothing “courtesy”.
