Can Ford excessive prevent ADMs?

Seems like the appropriate place to put my 2 cents in on helping to fix the ford dealer adm problem...

online ordering through ford. Lottery system. You pick the dealer to purchase through but the truck can be purchased through any dealer so you can move it up until some time in the ordering process. Gives purchaser ability to negotiate his deal with multiple dealers and provides some leverage back instead of it all being with a dealer with allocation. Dealers still makes money but has incentive to negotiate. Almost exactly like the online hummer ev process but can switch dealers after ordering.

I wish we could do away with private ownership of dealers. Let Ford own the dealer and service department with MSRP pricing across the board. Not perfect by any means, but removes a lot of the current distribution problems.

It’s heading that way. Farley was embarrassed AF when an analyst asked him why his dealers were making 3x the margin on new cars than Ford was. Let that soak in for a second……
It’s the same crap if anyone on this board chases bourbon for the holidays. A bottle of Pappy 20 msrp’s for $220 yet the liquor store owners will charge $2999.

The GM dealer tried the same thing with me for the Hummer EV. I didn't have anything signed, just a verbal agreement to sell it to me at MSRP. When the truck arrived at the dealer, they called and tried to add 50k ADM. I emailed the CEO of GM. She didn't answer my email, but the dealer changed their mind and sold me the truck at our originally agreed upon price. At the time, Hummer EVs were going for 100k over sticker.
I would email every executive at ford and see what happens.

Very similar experience here emailing the CEO of Costco. He didn't email me back. But 3 days later I got an email from Costco's concierge service, and boy had they changed their tune!

I am in the same boat with the build being scheduled soon but the dealer said a few months ago that they would NOT be getting an allocation, so I was out of luck unless I wanted to get one from another dealer for $30K ADM. Then I got an update from Ford with a VIN and build date. I called dealer and they made some sort of excuse about how they were surprised. I also don't have a purchase agreement in place, but it is in my name. Wondering if they are going to stick it to me ??
