Can 2010 Raptor Be Upgraded To Sync 3?

So,can someone enlighten me as to the difference between SYNC1-2-3 and if its worth the prices some have posted....
I have a 2014 (built in of 2013)...so I do have a touch screen...

It depends on what you want and what your skill level is with either a hex editor or ForScan software. If you want a unit with Nav, expect to pay $600-900 for the components, if you don’t need nav and just want apple CarPlay, then you can get into sync III for $350 or so.

Once again, you will have to mod the radios features to work in a ‘14 and you will need to mod the brackets for the screen.

I changed my sync II units in both my ‘13 & ‘15 trucks, personally, I think it sounds better.

You also don’t want to buy a unit from Canada, they don’t have the physical components for HD radio. If that matters to you.

no, sync 2 was released as a 2013 upgrade with a whole new center dash.

your 12 would have sync 1.

I have a 2011 with lux Pkg, touch screen, Navfac and wondering what I can do to upgrade my unit. My son said IPad is the way to go but i do not have one handy.

Sorry for the late reply. You probably already made your upgrades, but if not, here’s the after/before. The bezel still needs a little works to round out the edges, but it’s good enough for now.
