I assume everyone is going through same process. Took truck in for recall - did the program did not fix it - when I picked the truck up it was running - drove it home - started it up later in day same rattle. Called the dealership and I quote “Yeah we heard that but we needed your permission to go to next level”. I said you never called me and just let me leave the dealership. Now it is back at shop and I called yesterday and they told me waiting on parts 2 weeks including new cam shaft and sprockets. Mine is under the 60k mile mark so all on Fords dime -

Am I the only one with poor service on this recall or are others experiencing the same?

That's horrible customer service. I think we will see more and more of this, because the stealerships are so busy. NOTE: they are not busy from gobs of return business, they are busy because they don't have any competent staff or mechanics. Not much you can do, except go to another dealer. It's just not right, but the problem is, most Raptor owners are born with common sense and it's hard to understand how the rest of the world functions.

I’m not impressed with my service department but they did the update and no problems after driving 10000 miles. I had my truck in for service and oil change last week. I was reading over the paper work and noticed they put some other oil in instead of full synthetic . Called them up service guy says I don’t know how that could happen . I drove back same day for them to drain oil and filter and put the right oil in. They apologized and set me up for a full detail of truck from a top rated detail shop.

That's what is suppose to happen when the dealer makes a mistake, they are hard to find these days, they obviously care about repeat customers.

Ive been looking for a 1970 or old with body pretty sound to order a Ford Performance crate motor to drop in. I want to get back to a truck I can work on. Been to a couple Mecum auctions that run a couple thru but the bidding was beyond what I would pay.

You and everybody else. Ford made a lot of them, should be able to find a restorable one for about 5k, which doesn't need cab mounts or holes in the box, the rest is just patina, every part is available still for those. My neighbor found one, he's been tinkering with it for a couple years now, haven't seen it come out of his garage on over a year.

You don’t need to leave the truck at the shop for the cam phaser repair. The problem is well known and understood. The cam phaser failure to park issue will not damage the motor. Responsible service departments have been ordering parts and notifying customers when the parts come in.

pick up the truck and tell them to notify you when the parts come in AND the parts are for YOUR truck and NOBODY ELSE’s. (emphasis mine)

Not the only one. Mine has been in twice since June. All of June and July and half of august. “Fixed both times”. Just dropped it off for a third time. Ford has had it almost more than I have this year. Very disappointing. I love the truck but I almost don’t want it anymore. Almost.

And now they have to reprogram the pcm again. I don’t even know anymore.
