51 posts of complaining. Fix your phaser issue and move on.
Dude forget you…
“webb24” obviously wasn’t THAT familiar with dates in which certain TSB’s and recalls were issued pertaining to his issue, and him genuinely needing guidance on how to proceed, and handle the dealership

Well it is a little late for that now since I just dropped it off this morning but maybe I should of left after he said the programming does nothing? I will call them tomorrow and see if there are any updates.

Do you know how long it should take to determine if Ford will cover it or not?
When I took mine in (2017 w/ 35k miles) earlier this year, they replaced the cam phasers, reflashed, replaced brake master cylinder, catalytic converters replaced, and door locks replaced. I only asked them to check the cam phasers I didn’t even hear a noise and they did all of that under warranty / recall and I had my truck back 3 days later.
So I think largely what you can get done is going to be based on how helpful your service rep is. I would never go back to that dealership if that service rep is treating you like an inconvenience. They should be advocating for you, not acting like recall repairs are coming out of their pocket.

I am glad to have this conversation posted again.

I have a similar issue with the TSB. I was not able to get the vehicle into the dealer since I was out of the country.

The service advisor stated that since I did not have the noise, it was unlikely to correct the issue. He saw that I had the extended warranty and said that I was covered. I did not like this response. It sounded like passing the buck to a way to get paid for the work in the future.

What I am hearing is that the programming should be done to avoid the problem occurring in the future. I have very low mileage on my 2020 (~7,500) and would like to avoid the problem.

Please confirm FT1. I appreciate your feedback to this forum.
