My dealer has been doing 2018 F150 phasers as well. The issue is specific to the Gen 2 engine. Engines that tend to sit more than a few days per week vs driven daily are the common offender. My dealer has worked plenty of 2018s as well.
I'm not denying the issue, just that a dealer would come out and say what he quoted. His is a canned reply based on a previous post. No dealer, no Raptor.

Carry on.

Yes, the dealer was telling me that they have worked on a bunch of them. They said it is not specific to some bad batch, or some specific run. It is across the board. Even on 19s.

Yikes. I’ve lost track of who has had this happen more than once. Is the 101 days consecutive days in the dealer or cumulative days....more than one visit?

My 2017 Raptor was in the shop for a total of about 4 months - 5 visits from beginning of October to January 2019. Cam phaser. Then bad oil leak from valve cover, backfiring and engine light. Then coolant leak from thermostat housing, then extreme timing issue from high pressure pump leaking on a sensor and sending bad engine mapping data to computer. Then tech broke vacuum line off intake and I had to get plenum replaced. Truck ran fine for a couple months and the new cam phasers are now rattling extremely loud. I’ll be taking it back in this next week. I love this truck and I also hate it.

I'm surprised some of you haven't asked Ford for a buy back/replacement. Although I noticed a few of you are "brand new"members.

I did see that mentioned somewhere (maybe in this thread) but can you explain the process? In my state I’m beyond the lemon law mileage but wasn’t sure if that was a requirement for the buyback.
