Mine is starting to rattle again 1500 miles and 2 months after having them replaced. Truck now has 31500 miles. Cam phasers issue, apim issue, camera in rearview mirror went out, and a leak because another ford dealer incorrectly did one of the recalls and failed popped an electrical grommet out so water leaked on the carpet. My previous 5 f150s were pretty bulletproof. Even my 2015 EcoBoost platinum that never had any issues.

Just heard from my dealer. Confirmed bad cam phasers. 2018 25k miles
Should I make a big deal for timing chain replacement as well?
As of now he said it's not on list of parts...

Bump to the top. I see others reporting cam phaser failures on other post.

Must have been built the same week as mine.

1. Timing belt tensioner
2. Throttle body
3. Air speed sensor
4. Turbo boost sensor
5. APIM

Good stuff for a 2018.

Just took mine in today. Had a few videos on my phone and the service adviser was like yup timing chain. He didn't even doubt it and gave me a 19 King Ranch Diesel as a loaner. They are going to get into it tomorrow and make sure. While it's there I asked them to look into at the 10spd for funky shifts.

One other thing I have them looking at is the BOV/Waste gate too. The BOV sounded weird the other day.

Just voted.

Mine had/has it. At dealer for 115 days. Complete engine rebuild. *also noted in the other cam phaser thread* Three weeks after getting it back and it sitting outside all night, it started back. Seems like the cold set it off.. Now it’s intermittent and I’m waiting until it gets worse to take it back in. 2017 truck at 19k miles on it at the time and now I’m at 20.9k and have the powertrain warranty until 2024. Also currently looking for a clean gen 1 supercab to replace it with. If I see one at a local dealer, it’s getting traded in.

Sucks that it seems to be coming back for some. Guess its a question of going through the hassle and having ford tear your motor apart multiple times or sit and wait hoping for an actual fix before your warranty expires....

2018 802a late production. First oil change at 970 miles. Second ran 4000 miles, due to road trip. I have continued to change between 3-4K. Truck has goose stage 2 tune, SVC intercooler, JLT catch can. I do all of my own work and use Amsoil synthetic with their filter. I’m currently just shy of 10k miles. No problems.

Well definitely seems to be a trend so far... Ford if your listening then you might want to get this resolved because I smell a class action lawsuit brewing......
