C vs E rated tires

I hate to tell you this but the Duratracs have a 2 ply sidewall and are not even close in strength to the 3 ply sidewall on the BFG.

Been running them the last 10 years and never had a sidewall issue. They are significantly better Performing than the KO2s in my area.

I can attest that Duratracs are a LOT louder than the BFGs. Was not impressed at all.

The improved performance is worth the added noise to me. They are quieter than running a full MT and perform almost as well in most conditions and even better in snow and ice than an MT.

Plus if you have/open a USAA bank account you get 25% off Goodyear tires.

I switched to Cooper ST Maxx’s after I completely wore out my KO2s at around 25K miles. The Coopers are “D” rated and I like them very much. They actually still have plenty of tread left after putting on another 20K miles, but they are just now starting to cup a little. My shocks are toast and I have a rebuilt set to swap out that are arriving next week. I do believe the cupping might be from the shocks.

The KO2 rubber compound is too soft for me, and they also have an annoying habit of picking up pebbles and releasing them when you get up to highway speeds. I’m definitely not going back to BFGs!!!

I definitely have noticed the rock throwing. I hope the pings I've heard off the sides of my truck lately after being off road were rocks hitting the side steps and not the body.

You will never find a tire that out performs the BFG KO's except maybe in the mud. Get some "Ground Hawgs" if you want the ultimate mud tire. I have had so many sets of BFG's I can't count them. They make any truck ride better. They handle road hazards well. Nails, screws you won't even know they are there unless you see them or get a new set and run your hand on the inside. Long mileage if rotated regularly. If you get in a bind you can slack them down and not even use four wheel drive especially in the sand. C vs E? this is my first set of C's. The jury is still out on dealing with road hazards, but the ride is over the top and we all know that because we all start out with them. I'm sure the C's ride better than the E's. I am glad there is a difference. I plan to keep them on my raptor and stick with class E on my F-250. Tire salesmen don't like to sell them because they know you won't need another set any time soon. Just my opinion but I even have a set on my disc that I found at the junk yard.

I guess E's are a harder rubber and last longer ?
