Hey from Canada, looking to buy a used 2010 with 67000km about 42000 miles or so. With nav and all the other goodies. What should I look for before buying? Thanks for looking.

Used Raptors hold their value VERY WELL. I was looking at a 2011 with 37,000 miles that was only $4k less then a new 2013.

You should look for a new Raptor because its worth not having to deal with someone else's headache.

NONSENSE!

If you can get a fair deal on a good used truck then go for it!

Most people take great care of their Raptors (they're expensive) and most probably don't ever take them off road (well, many don't).

Check the usual things including SERVICE RECORD (look at them and the intervals), do a background check, have YOUR mechanic look it over, where was the truck sold and owned (so you can figure out where it might have gone, weather/snow and look for rust).

Good luck - you can get yourself a great deal buying used and have more money to spend on other things (including mods if that's what you want to spend your money on).

Yeah, most people do take care of their Raptors. But people get Raptors to use them for their full potential. Even if someone takes great care of their truck, because of the nature of the beast with Raptors, you're one bump away from a broken control arm, cv boot, steering shaft, etc.

My theory is...why take the chance?? If the price is comparable, go new so you KNOW that the truck hasn't been abused.

The truck I'm looking at is 36k asking price a new one is like 60k. I want buy new but it's just to much. I could buy one in the states for about 10k less than the Canadian price but it's a lot to import them. I also don't want a 800 900 a month payment. I can deal with 500 or so. Just. Got outa a big loan don't wanna run myself short again.

I'd go used then. If you like what you've found and it's a good price then why not.

If you are not stroking a check for the entire amount then don't worry about the 4k your "saving" by getting used. that is only going to be like 70-100/mo on a payment.

ugh Canada prices nvm. if your saving that much you cant argue with it.

The main things to look for would be box to cab alinement and don't be afraid go crawl under it and look at the skid plates and the shock guards to see how scratched up they are, that will tell you if its been off road much.
Also with that milage and Canadian winters with all the salt we use I wouldn't be surprised if the rear shocks are about ready to let go if not already done, the salt/calcium mix they use ate away at the rings on mine. But it gave me a reason to justify icons to the wife lol. Take the truck some where or just get the dealer to take them off in front of you and try to push them down by hand it should be near impossible to get them to move by hand if there is still plenty of life in them. And use that as a bargining chip.

New or used your gonna love it I got my 2010 last November and aside from the rear shocks I couldn't be happier.
