If you had FSA 21B10 completed you already have the update.
I am on the original software per advisement directly from the inside of FP because I ended up with new hardware which I was told was properly hardend to prevent the wear issue from coming back again . So if you are on the original software or what I call the rollback software (21N08 - I found the original mailing and its referred to as the original software) if you were having shutter issues with 21B10, I assume then you don't have that update? I got my phasers replaced in Nov 2021 right as that program was coming out and it was a complete fiasco. According to my paperwork none of the program names are listed just TSB-21-2119

Yes, and same here. My truck was built prior to the updated software and it uses no oil between oil changes.

The issue only occurs if you drive aggressively with a lot of engine braking.
I have a 2019 and have had excessive oil consumption. I am definitely not hard on the truck. I hope the reprogramming they just did fixes my issues.

Whelp.....Just drained about 4qts from my 2020. Approaching 70,000 miles and this is the first time I can remember less than 5.5qts. Build date of 2/27/20 and regular Motorcraft full synthetic changes. Sounds like I should call the dealer at check on TSB 20-2423 being applicable. No visible signs of leaks anywhere.

Check your PCM software version if you can, also check your valve covers. See if they are leaking.

Just finished up the oil change. Engine bay is totally void of any oil leaks. Checked my records and last oil change was 5,739 miles ago on 8/1/24. Drained 5.5'ish qts and took 6qts. I'll fire up the ForScan laptop later and see if I can grab a PCM Software version.

If you have had the PCM updated or phasers it would have been included there. Before I had that update I was 2 revisions behind and had no issue with consumption. I'm not sure what update level they rolled that fix out in.

Yours being a 2020 wont line up with my 18 software, but you'll at least know how many revisions back you may be at.
